Carswell Takes Ford To Victory Lane At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [10-06-2007] Brian Carswell from Morganton driving his built
motor Ford #4 looked impressive leading every lap in the Late Model race
Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. Chris Cheek from Wilkesboro brought his
crate motor Chevy #99 to a distant second in a caution free event. Wesley
Chester from Morganton drove his crate motor Dodge #H1 to third. Frank Hodges
from Mt City, Tenn brought his crate motor Chevy to a fourth place finish.
Randy Taylor from Troutdale, Va in his crate motor Chevy #99 rounded out the
top five.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton took the victory in the twenty-five lap Super
Stock V-8 special event after the apparent winner was disqualified at post
race inspection. Wesley Chester #35 led the entire event but was disqualified
when he refused to tear down at after the race. Bristol who had struggled with
overheating problems was awarded the win. Andy Mathis #M2 finished second. Ed
Roane #99 finished third. Dennis Byrd #07 overcame an early race pit stop to
finish fourth. Dab Saulman #JW finished fifth.
Brad Laws #9 from Lenoir won his second race of the year in the Renegade V-8
event. Freddie Frady #01 led the first nine laps until his motor let go ending
his bid for the win. Jody Adams #2 spun in Frady’s oil ending his chance to
take the victory. Laws took the lead on the restart and went on to victory
lane. Chris Stokes #52 finished second. Trace Childers #13 finished third,
Brian Jones #34 finished fourth and Ronnie Chastain #31 rounded out the top
five.
Trent Chatham #9 from Taylorsville won yet another Super Stock Four event.
Travis Chatham #21 took the lead at the drop of the green but broke a timing
belt after leading ten laps. Trent Chatham who had worked his way from the
rear of the field led the remaining laps for the win. Steve Annas #7 finished
second. Ed Brittain #57 outbattled Keith Hart #81 for third. Hart finished
fourth. Keith Teague #0 finished fifth.
David Hall #9 from Lenoir won his second consecutive Super Stock Four event.
Randy Powell #88 led the first four laps until he had a right rear tire go
flat causing him to spin coming off turn four. Powell recovered to battle with
Hall late in the event to finish second. Tony Waters #6 pressured Powell late
in the event but had to settle for third. Chris Barker #84 finished fourth.
Ernest Anthony #2 finished fifth.
Adam Eller #00 overcame an early race spin to win the Young Guns race. JW
Hicks #15 overcame an early race encounter with a concrete wall while leading
[that knocked Jacob Carver #22 out of the event] and pressured Eller to the
checkered flag for second. Clay Moody #03 finished third. Josh Anthony #2
finished fourth. Devin Harris #48 struggled to a fifth place finish.
Antioch Speedway will not hold race events for the next two Saturdays but will
open back up October 27, 2007 for a special Halloween race.
Ron “the Bull” Parker Wins At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [9-29-2007] Ron Parker #8 from Bellwood won the final Mega
Tan Series Late Model race Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. Will Shuffler
#46 from Morganton got the jump from his outside front row starting position
and led the first five laps. Parker was able to make the pass when Shuffler’s
racer pushed up out of the groove in turn two. Parker led the remainder of the
forty lap feature to take the victory. Brian Carswell #4 while running 3th
bounced off the wall on the twenty-seventh lap collecting last week’s winner
Wesley Chester #H1 and Chris Cheek #99. All three were out for the remainder
of the race. Shuffler went on to finish second. Randy Taylor #94 from
Troutdale, Va finished third. Neal Pitts #21 from Morganton finished fourth.
Rookie driver Daimon Patton #7 from Morganton rounded out the top five.
Ronnie Vasser #7 from Morganton led flag to flag winning the Super Stock V-8
event. Tim Bristol #71 had nothing for Vasser and had to settle for second.
Jeff Parsons #44 outbattled Jason Ledford #14 for third. Ledford finished
fourth. Last week’s winner Joey Barker #16 overcame two spins to finish fifth.
Freddie Frady #01F from Marion led from start to finish easily winning the
Renegade V-8 event. Mike Anderson #11 finished second. Johnny Tranthem #44
finished third. Brad Laws #9 was running second on the white flag lap but ran
hard into turn three on the last lap, lost two laps and wound up finishing
fourth. Donovan Koteras #01K finished fifth.
Trent Chatham #9 from Taylorsville kept his winning streak going in the Super
Stock Four race. Tim Moretz #T9 led the first six laps until he slid high in
turn two allowing Chatham who had worked his way from the rear of the field to
take the lead. Chatham went on to victory lane. Moretz finished second. Steve
Annas #7A finished third. Jimmy Milsaps #20 finished fourth. Keith Hart #81
passed Richard Vasser #74 on the last lap to finish fifth.
Ricky Waters #28 from Wikesboro won a hotly contested Pure Stock Four race.
Richard Vasser #15 took the lead at the drop of the green and led the first
five circuits. Vasser and Waters tangled coming off turn four sending Vasser
into the inside guardrail ending his bid for the win. Waters who had pressured
Vasser the first five laps went on to take the checkered flag. David Hall #9
worked his way from the rear of the field to finish second. Jeremy Potter #79
finished third. Riley Dunford #18 finished fourth and Curtis Barker #84
finished fifth.
Jacob Carver #J22 came from the rear of the field winning the Young Guns
event. JW Hicks #15 led the first three laps and finished second. Adam Eller
#00 finished third. Brandon Marshall #24 finished fourth. Devin Harris driving
the Tony Waters #6 finished fifth.
Chester Takes Dodge To Victory Lane At Antioch

crate motor powered #H1 led flag to flag winning the Late Model race Saturday
night at Antioch Speedway. Will Shuffler from Morganton driving his Chevrolet
crate motor powered #46 pressured Chester part of the event to finish second.
Brian Carswell from Valdese driving his Ford built motor powered #4 came from
the rear of the field to finish third. Tim Bristol from Morganton driving his
Chevrolet crate motor powered #71 passed Frank Hodges from Mountain City, Tenn
in his Chevrolet crate motor powered #17 on the last lap to finish fourth.
Hodges with his best race ever finished fifth.
Joey Barker from Morganton driving his crate motor powered #16 led every lap
on his way to victory in the Super Stock V-8 event. Tim Bristol #71 pressured
Barker the last part of the event but had to settle for second. Josh Scronce
#2M finished a strong third. Jason Ledford #14 finished fourth and Travis
Childers #3 finished fifth.
Brad Laws #9 from Lenoir led flag to flag easily winning the Renegade V-8
event. Dwayne Huffman #H2 finished a distant second. Harvey Kincaid #5
finished third,
Tony Parsons #20 finished fourth and Larry Brown #18 finished fifth.

hundred dollar first prize in the Super Stock Four race. Travis Chatham #21
passed Steve Annas #7A midway of the event to finish second. Annas third.

spin to finish fifth.
David Hall #9H made it two in a row taking home the four hundred dollar first
prize in the Pure Stock Four event. Richard Vasser #15 outbattled Jeremy
Potter #79 to finish second. Potter third. Tony Waters #6 finished fourth.

Mangum Wins Fastrak Race At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [9-15-2007] Timbo Mangum #T1 from Lancaster, SC won the
special Fastrak Late Model racing series event Saturday night at Antioch
Speedway. Chris Ferguson #22 got the jump from his outside front row starting
position and led the first fifteen laps until he tangled with lap traffic
bringing out a caution. Mangum took the point on the restart leading the
remainder of the forty laps to take home the $2000.00 first prize. Lee Cooper
#57 from Greer SC finished a distant second. Ron Parker #8 from Bellwood
finished third. Matt Long #25 from Charlotte finished fourth. John Llewllyn
#90 from Knoxville, TN finished fifth. Will Shuffler #46 from Morganton
finished sixth. David McCoy #187 from Franklin finished seventh. Anthony
Sanders #42 from Gastonia finished eighth. Joey McCoy #74 from Franklin
finished ninth and AJ Watson #99 from Doblin VA rounded out the top ten.

event. Jeff Parsons #44 led the first five laps and overcame two flat tires to
finish second. Jason Ledford #14 finished third. Mike Brown #11 finished
fourth and Terry Ross #8 finished fifth.
Ronnie Vasser #44V from Morganton made it two in a row winning the Renegade
V-8 race. Tim Sigmon #47 finished second. Freddie Frady #01 overcame a midrace
spin to finish third. Brad Laws #9 finished fourth and Carl Masters #52
finished fifth.
Trent Chatham #9 from Taylorsville led flag to flag easily winning the Super
Stock Four event. Keith Hart #81 passed Ed Brittain #57 with five laps
remaining to finish second. Brittain third. Steve Annas #7A finished fourth
and Richard Vasser #74 finished fifth.
David Hall #9H from Lenoir won a hotly contested Pure Stock Four race. Tim

Casey Woody #02 from Marion led every lap on his way to victory in the Young
Guns event. Points leader JW Hicks #15 came from the rear of the field to
finish second. Devin Harris #48 finished third, Jonathan Stanley #03 finished
fourth and AJ Parsons #9 finished fifth.
Carswell Makes It Two In A Row At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [9-8-2007] Brian Carswell built motor Ford #4C from Valdese
took the lead on the third lap and went on uncontested to the checkered flag
to win his second consecutive Late Model race Saturday night at Antioch
Speedway. Brian Nance #4C led the first lap but was sidelined early in the
event when his engine’s fan blade punctured his radiator causing a hole in it.
Will Shuffler crate motor Chevy #46 from Morganton finished second. Wesley
Chester crate motor Dodge #H1 from Morganton finished third. Chris Cheek crate
motor Chevy #99 from Wilkesboro finished fourth. Raymond Pennington built
motor Chevy #6 from Creston rounded out the top five.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton won yet another Super Stock V-8 main event. Dab
Saulman #JW jumped out front at the drop of the green but was overtaken on the
fifth lap by Bristol. Bristol went on to take the checkered flag and sold his
carburetor on a buy out rule to Jason Ledford #14 who finished second. Wesley
Chester borrowed Jody Adams Renegade car #2 and finished third. Mike Brown #11
overcame an early race spin to finish fourth. Saulman finished fifth.
Ronnie Vasser #44V from Morganton won a very competitive Renegade V-8 event.
Freddy Frady #01 led the first nine laps until he spun coming off turn two
bringing out a caution. Vasser took the lead on the restart and went on to
take the checkered flag. Brad Laws #9 finished second. Frady worked his way
back to pressure Laws at the line for third. Johnny Tranthem #44X finished
fourth. Craig Miller #8 finished fifth.
Trevor Chatham #00 from Taylorsville led flag to flag winning the Super Stock
Four event. Steve Annas #7A pressured Chatham the entire event sometimes side
by side racing to finish a close second. Keith Hart #81 finished third. Ed
Brittain #57 outbattled Richard Vasser #74 for fourth place. Vasser finished
fifth.
Tim Moretz #15 from Morganton only led one lap on his way to victory in the
Pure Stock Four race. Jeremy Potter #79 led most of the event until Moretz was
able to get by on the last lap. Potter finished a close second. Tony Waters #6
finished third. Jeremiah Carpenter #03 finished fourth. Curtis Barker #84
finished fifth.
JW Hicks #15 from Valdese only led two laps to win his second consecutive
Young Guns event. Devin Harris #48 led most of the event but was sidelined
late when his racer’s battery died. Hicks went on to victory lane. Brandon
Marshall #21 was spun out on the last lap but was awarded second place. Adam
Eller #00 finished third. Josh Anthony #2 finished fourth. Jonathan Stanley

Speedway. Buddy Smith crate motor Chevy #08 from Cherryville finished second.
Wesley Chester Dodge crate motor #H1 finished third. Raymond Pennington built
motor Chevy #6 from Creston fourth. Will Shuffler crate motor Chevy #46
finished fifth.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton kept his winning streak going by leading every
lap in the $500 to win Super Stock V-8 event. Travis Smith #4 dropped out late
in the event with engine problems while running second. Wesley Chester #35
finished second. Jason Ledford #14 finished third. Kevin Pangrazial #42
finished fourth. Terry Ross #8 rounded out the top five.
Tim Sigmon #47 from Denver won a very competitive Renegade V-8 event. Ronnie
Vasser #44V led the first of eleven laps until he had steering problems
allowing Sigmon to take the lead. Sigmon led the last four laps to the
checkered flag. Brad Laws #9 finished second. Vasser overcame a late race spin
to finish third. Larry Brown #18 finished fourth. Newcomer Michael Williams
#02 finished fifth.
Travis Chatham #21 from Taylorsville led green to checkered winning the Super
Stock Four race. Richard Vasser #74 finished second. Steve Annas #7A finished
third, Chris Cleary #88 finished fourth and Ed Brittain #57 finished fifth.

event. Ricky Waters #28 jumped out front at the drop of the green but pitted
six laps later with engine problems. Potter took the lead and held off Richard
Vasser #15 at the line for the win. Vasser a close second. Ryan Shumate #43
finished third. Curtis Barker #84 finished fourth. Robert Sabol #9 finished
fifth.

#00 led the first six laps until he slowed with a right rear flat. Hicks who
was running third at the time passed Brandon Marshall #21 and Eller on the
same lap to take the lead. Hicks led the last half of the race to take the
checkered flag. Marshall finished a close second. Jonathan Stamey #03 finished
third. Joseph Hoswell #9 finished fourth. Devin Harris #48 overcame a first
lap flat tire to finish fifth.
Roger Reevis #1 won a very competitive Road Rage race. Eddie Burks #200
finished second. Dab Saulman #2 survived his hood flying up midway of the race
to finish third.
Shuffler Wins Mega Tan Race At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [8-25-2007] Will Shuffler driving his crate motor powered #46
from Morganton led the entire thirty lap event and withstood an overnight
protest to take home the $1500.00 first prize in the Late Model Mega Tan race
Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. Ron “the bull” Parker crate motor #8 from
Bellwood finished a distant second. Bryan Nance built motor #4N from Wilkesboro
finished third. Randy Taylor crate motor #94 from Troutdale, VA finished fourth.
Chris Cheek crate motor #99 from Wilkesboro finished fifth.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton won the Super Stock V-8 event. Jason Ledford #14
led the first four laps until mechanical problems sent him to the pits. Bristol
led the remaining laps to take the victory. Kevin Pangrazial #42 crossed the
line in second but was disqualified when his racer was fifty pounds light at the
scales. Newcomer Eric Wray #37 finished second. Wesley Chester #35 finished
third with a blown engine. Duke Bare #52 moved up from Renegade to finish
fourth. Mike Brown #11 finished fifth.
Freddie Frady #01 from Marion led every lap on his way to victory in the
Renegade V-8 race. Ronnie Vasser #44V finished a close second. Brad Laws #9
finished third, Larry Brown #18 finished fourth and Johnny Tramtham #44T
finished fifth.

event. Travis Chatham #21 led the first ten laps until he and his brother Trent
tangled coming off turn two causing Travis to spin. Trent Chatham went on to
take the checkered flag. Richard Vasser #74 moved up from Pure Stock Four to
finish second. Steve Annas #7A finished third. Travis Chatham recovered to
finish fourth. Keith Hart #81 rounded out the top five.
Adam Pruett #7 from Asheville led flag to flag easily winning the Pure Stock
Four event. Tony Waters #6 passed Jeremy Potter #59 midway of the event and
withstood post race inspection to finish second. Potter third. Ryan Shumate #43
finished fourth. Curtis Barker #84 finished fifth.
Casey Woody #02 from Marion won his second consecutive Young Guns race. Brandon
Marshall #21 looked much improved finishing second. Devin Harris #48 overcame an
early race pit stop to finish third. Richard Hurt #03 finished fourth. JW Hicks
#15 also overcame an early race flat tire to finish fifth.
The three winners in the special ATV Four Wheeler race were Jerry Gragg, 400cc,
Chris Kidd, 450cc and James Ensley, 500cc.
Shuffler Wins Late Model Race At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [8-18-2007] Will Shuffler #46 from Morganton looked
impressive in his crate Late Model Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. Tim
Bristol #71 from Morganton jumped out front at the drop of the green but spun
after completing the second lap and later pitted with handling problems.
Shuffler took the lead on the third lap and stretched out a straightaway lead
on second place finisher Bryan Nance #4N from Wilkesboro in his built motor
car. Wesley Chester #7C from Morganton in his built motor Chevrolet finished
third. Chris Cheek #99 from Wilkesboro in his crate motor finished fourth.
Jimmy Milsaps #20 from Boone in his crate motor finished fifth.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton led every lap on his way to victory in the
Super Stock V-8 division. Jason Ledford #14 passed Wesley Chester #35 with
five laps remaining to finish second. Chester pressured Ledford to the line
but had to settle for third. Mike Brown #11 finished fourth. Travis Smith #4
struggled with handling problems but still managed to finish fifth.
Joey Barker #5 from Valdese won a caution riddled Renegade V-8 event. John
McElrath #63 led the first three laps but spun coming off turn two causing a
multiple car pile up. McElrath was taken to the hospital with a severe knee
injury. Brad Laws #9 took the lead on the restart but spun out one lap later.
Barker led the rest of the way to the checkered flag. Larry Brown #18 finished
second. Cody Cook #1 finished third in his first Renegade race ever. Bobby
McPeters #25 finished fourth. Travis Guffey #5G finished fifth.
Trent Chatham #9 from Taylorsville won the Super Stock Four event. Steve Annas
#7A finished second. Eddie Burks substituting for Tim Bristol #71 finished
third. Last week’s winner Keith Hart #81 finished fourth. Michael Sheets #00
finished fifth.
David Hall #9 from Lenoir won a hotly contested Pure Stock Four race. Josh
Holden #71 took the lead as the green flag waved with Richard Vasser #15 and
Hall in hot pursuit. Holden led half of the event until he pitted with
overheating problems. Vasser also pitted a few laps later with overheating
problems. Hall beat Jeremy Potter substituting for his brother Jason in the
#59 car to the checkered flag. Potter finished a close second. Ricky Waters
#28 finished a close third. Harvey Anderson #5 finished fourth. Tony Waters #6
overcame an early race pitstop to finish fifth.

consecutive Late Model race Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. Will Shuffler
#46 from Morganton led the first six laps but spun on his own between turns
one and two after completing the sixth lap. Bryan Nance #4N from Wilkesboro
inherited the lead but lost the lead to Carswell on the very next lap. After
Carswell made the pass Nance got loose and spun coming off turn four. Carswell
led the remaining laps. Shuffler worked his way back to a close second.
Raymond Pennington #6 from Creston finished third. Neal Pitts #21 from
Morganton finished fourth. John Eller #7E from Boone recovered from an early
race spin to finish fifth.
Wesley Chester #35 from Morganton led flag to flag winning the Super Stock V-8
$500.00 to win special event. Ed Roane #99 came from deep in the field to
finish second. Ray Roland #38 overcame a midrace spin to finish third. Tim
Bristol #71 pressured Chester most of the event and recovered from a late race
flat tire to finish fourth. Mike Brown #11 finished fifth.
Joey Barker #5B from Valdese won a very competitive Renegade V-8 event after
the apparent winner was disqualified at post race inspection. Josh Scronce #13
took the lead at the drop of the green leading the first six laps. On the
seventh lap Scronce spun when his right rear went flat. Jim Henneborn #11 took
the lead and went on to take the checkered flag but was disqualified at the
scales for being sixty pounds light. Barker who had worked his way from the
rear of the field to second was awarded the win. Travis Guffey #5G second.
Larry Brown #18 finished third. Scronce recovered to fourth. Jason Donahue #5D
finished fifth.
Keith Hart #81 from Warrensville won a very competitive Super Stock Four
event. Tim Moretz #T9 took the lead from Ed Brittain #57 on the second lap but
only led four laps when his motor let go. Hart took the lead and went on to
take the checkered flag. Brittain second. Chris Cleary #88 finished third.
Alan Hamby #77 finished fourth. Larry Martin #92 rounded out the top five.
Richard Vasser #15 from Morganton led from start to finish and held off a hard
charging Jason Potter #59 to win the Pure Stock Four event. Potter finished a
strong second. Ernest Anthony #2 finished third. Ricky Lowery #9 finished

John Eller #7E from Boone rounded out the top five.
Travis Smith #4 from Morganton led flag to flag winning the Super Stock
V-8 event. Wesley Chester #35 stayed in contact with Smith the entire
time but had to settle for second. Tim Bristol #71 came from the rear of
the field to finish third in a caution free race. Freddie Frady #01
finished fourth. Ed Roane #99 finished fifth.

the Renegade V-8 class. Josh Scronce #13 pressured Barker most of the
event but could only muster a second place finish. Rodney Lail #77
finished third, Jody Adams #2 finished fourth and Bobby McPeters #25
finished fifth.

victory lane in the Super Stock Four event. Trevor Chatham #00
outbattled Steve Annas #7 to take second. Annas finished third. Ed
Brittain #57 finished fourth. Keith Hart #81 rounded out the top five.
David Hall #9H from Happy Valley won his second consecutive Pure Stock
Four race. Ricky Waters #99 battled with Hall the entire event but was
disqualified at post race inspection for refusing to tear his engine
apart. Jeremy Potter substituting for his brother Jason in the #59 car
finished second. Tony Waters #6 finished third. Tim Whiteside #X1
finished fourth. Robert Sabol #9S finished fifth.

Shuffler Wins Mega Tan Race At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [7-28-2007] Will Shuffler #46 from Morganton set fast
qualifier and led every lap winning the special Mega Tan Late Model race
Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. Ron “the bull” Parker #8 from Bellwood
finished a distant second. Chris Cheek #99 from Wilkesboro passed Jimmy
Milsaps #20 from Boone with seven laps remaining to finish third. Milsaps
fourth. Bryan Nance #4 from Wilkesboro rounded out the top five.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton got the jump at the drop of the green and
led every lap on his way to victory in the Super Stock V-8 event. Wesley
Chester #35 pressured Bristol most of the event but had to settle for
second. Travis Smith #4 finished third. Jason Ledford #14 overcame an
early race spin to finish fourth. Freddie Frady #01 finished fifth.
Josh Scronce #13 from Morganton led flag to flag and held off a hard
charging Joey Barker #5 to win the Renegade V-8 race. Barker pressured
Scronce the entire event but stopped his winning streak by finishing
second. Jody Adams #2 finished third. Brad Laws #9 overcame an early race
spin to finish fourth. Larry Brown #18 finished fifth.
Trevor Chatham #00 from Taylorsville inherited the win in the Stock Four
race when the apparent winner was disqualified at post race inspection.
Robbie Brown #33 led the entire event but the win was taken away when he
refused to tear down after the event. Steve Annas #7A finished second.
Chris Cleary #88 finished third. Keith Hart #81 finished fourth. Ed
Brittain #57 ran second most of the event but slid back to a fifth place
finish.
David Hall #9 from Lenoir won a very competitive Pure Stock Four race.
Richard Vasser #15 jumped out front at the drop of the green with Hall,
Adam Pruett #7 and Jeremy Potter #79 in hot pursuit. Vasser led to halfway
when his motor blew ending his bid for the victory. Hall and Pruett
battled to the checkered flag with Hall getting the upper hand. Pruett
finished a close second. Potter passed Harvey Anderson #5 on the last lap
to finish third. Anderson finished fourth. Tony Waters #6 overcame an
early race flat to finish fifth.
Jacob Carver #J22 from Asheville came from the rear of the field and was
awarded the win in the Young Guns event. The apparent winner Adam Eller
was disqualified at post race inspection for running a Ford motor in a
Chevrolet truck. Devin Harris #48 finished a strong second. JW Hicks #15
finished third. Travis Caviness #83 finished fourth and Cody Cook #2
finished fifth.
Shuffler Wins At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [7-21-2007] Will Shuffler #46 from Morganton led every lap
easily winning the Late Model race Saturday night at Antioch Speedway.
Wesley Chester #7 from Morganton finished a distant second. Bryan Nance #4
from Wilkesboro worked his way from the rear of the field to finish third.
Jimmy Milsaps #20 from Boone finished fourth. Raymond Pennington #6 rounded
out the top five.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton led flag to flag and withstood post race
inspection winning the Super Stock V-8 event. Wesley Chester #35 finished
second. Freddie Frady #01 finished third. Dab Saulman #JW2 overcame an early
race spin to finish fourth. Mike Brown #11 finished fifth.
Joey Barker #5 from Valdese kept his streak going by winning yet another
Renegade V-8 race. Dwayne Edwards #26 finished second. Rick Smith #4 led the
first three laps but slid back to a third place finish. Brad Laws #9
overcame a couple of spin outs to finish fourth. Mike Brown #18 finished
fifth.
Travis Chatham #21 from Taylorsville took the lead early in the event and
went on to victory lane in the Super Stock Four race. Trevor Chatham #00
came from deep in the pack to finish second. Last week’s winner Steve Annas
#7A led the first couple laps but slid back to third with handling problems.
Ed Brittain #57 overcame a first lap flat tire to finish fourth. Brad
Carpenter #07 overcame an early race spin to finish fifth.
Adam Pruett #7 won a very competitive Pure Stock Four event. Richard Vasser
#15 jumped out front at the drop of the green but faded back to fifth and
pitted on the third lap with alternator problems. Last week’s winner Jeremy
Potter #79 led the next four laps until Pruett was able to take the lead.
Pruett went on to take the checkered flag, followed in second by Josh Holden
#71. Potter limped home in third with rear end problems. Jason Ledford #14
finished fourth. Tony Waters #6 rounded out the top five.
Jacob Carver #J22 from Asheville won his second consecutive Young Guns
event. Devin Harris #48 finished second. Adam Eller #00 finished third, JW
Hicks #15 finished fourth and Richard Hurt #25 finished fifth.
Mike Pruett #16 won a special non-winners race in the Pure Stock Four
division. Tony Waters #6 led the entire event but refused to tear down at
post race inspection awarding Pruett the win. Robby Poteat #25 finished
second. Eddie Porter #12 finished third, Robert Sabol #9 finished fourth and

Morganton, N. C. [7-14-2007] Bryan Nance #4 from Wilkesboro led flag to flag
winning a hotly contested Late Model race Saturday night at Antioch
Speedway. Will Shuffler #46 from Morganton pressured Nance the entire event
but had to settle for second. Wesley Chester #7 from Morganton fought off
constant pressure from Chris Cheek #99 from Wilkesboro to finish third.
Cheek finished fourth. Jimmy Milsaps #20 from Boone rounded out the top
five.
Brian Carswell #NL2 from Morganton took the lead on the second lap and led
the next twenty-four to take home the $700.00 first prize in the Super Stock
V-8 special event. Travis Smith #4 overcame a midrace spin and brought his
ill handling Ford home in second place. Freddie Frady #01 overcame a midrace
mishap to finish third. Wesley Chester #35 also had problems early but still
managed to finish fourth. Ray Roland #38 ran second midway of the event but
faded to a fifth place finish.
Joey Barker #5 from Valdese won his sixth consecutive Saturday night
Renegade V-8 race. John McElrath #63 jumped out front at the drop of the
green leading the first twelve laps. Barker battled with Josh Scronce #13
thru most of the event finally making the pass with five laps remaining.
Barker took the lead two laps later when McElrath’s handling went away
causing him to slide high. Barker went on to take the checkered flag
followed in second by McElrath. Scronce finished third. Brad Laws #9
finished fourth. David Hollen #37 finished fifth.
Steve Annas #7A from Morganton won his first race of the season in the Super
Stock Four event. Robbie Brown #33 took the lead at the start of the event
with Annas close behind. Annas took the lead on lap four, lost it again on
lap five and regained it for good on the sixth circuit. Brown pressured
Annas to the checkered flag to finish second. Keith Hart #81 held off Ed
Brittain #57 to finish third. Brittain finished fourth and Chris Cleary #88
finished fifth.
Jeremy Potter #79 led flag to flag winning a hotly contested Pure Stock Four
event. Ricky Waters #99 pressured Potter the entire event sometime side by
side to cross the line in a very close second. Josh Holden #71 overcame an
early race spin to finish third. Jason Potter #59 finished fourth. Brian
Miskel #33 finished fifth.
Jacob Carver #J22 from Asheville led flag to flag easily winning the Young
Guns event. Travis Caviness #83 came from the rear of the field but had
nothing for Carver and had to settle for second. Devin Harris #48 finished
third. Shawn Simmons #NC4 finished fourth. Brandon Marshall #21 overcame an
early race spin to finish fifth.
Tony Parsons #9 took home the trophy in the special non-winners Young Guns
event.

Late Model race Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. Wesley Chester #7 from
Morganton finished second. Chris Cheek #99 from Wilkesboro finished third,
Neil Pitts #21 from Morganton finished fourth and Jimmy Milsaps #20 from Boone
finished fifth.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton led every lap taking home the victory in the
Super Stock V-8 race. Travis Smith #4 struggled with handling problems late in
the event but hung on to finish second. Wesley Chester #35 finished third.

event. Chris Cleary #88 took the lead on the second lap and led until pitting
eight laps later with overheating problems. Steve Annas #7A took the lead but
only held it for two laps. Brown led the last four laps with Annas finishing
second. Keith Hart #81 finished third, Ed Brittain #57 finished fourth and
Keith Teague #0 finished fifth.
David Hall #9 led all but the first lap winning the Pure Stock Four event.
Daimon Patton #1 led the first lap but pitted midway of the event with brake
problems. Adam Pruett #7 outbattled Ricky Waters #99 for second place. Waters
third. Jeremy Potter #79 finished fourth. Mike Pruett #16 rounded out the top
five.
Travis Caviness #83 won his second consecutive Young Guns event. Jacob
Carver #J22 led the first three laps until he pitted with rear-end problems.
Richard Hurt #25 led the fourth lap, JW Hicks #15 led the fifth lap and
Caviness led all the rest. Devin Harris #48 passed Hicks with two laps
remaining to finish second. Hicks finished third, Josh Anthony #7A finished
fourth and Hurt finished fifth.

flag to flag winning the Late Model race Saturday night at Antioch Speedway.
Will Shuffler #46 from Morganton finished second. Chris Cheek #99 from
Wilkesboro finished third. Bryan Nance #4 from Wilkesboro finished fourth and
Raymond Pennington #6 from Creston rounded out the top five.
Tim Bristol #71
from Morganton made it two in a row in the Super Stock V-8 event. Travis Smith
#4 jumped out front at the drop of the green with Wesley Chester #35, Ray
Roland #38, Brian Carswell #JW2 and Bristol in hot pursuit. Smith led until
sliding high coming off turn four on the third lap allowing Chester to take
the lead. Roland dropped from competition when his drive shaft came out.
Chester and Bristol battled for the top spot until Chester slid high coming
off turn two when he hit some grease that Roland had laid down allowing
Bristol to make the pass. Bristol went on to take the checkered flag. Chester
finished second. Carswell finished third. Smith struggled to finish fourth and
Mike Brown #11 finished fifth.
Joey Barker #5 from Morganton won his third consecutive Renegade V-8 event.
Josh Scronce #13 led the first four laps until he spun coming off turn four
and was hit by Larry Brown knocking both racers from competition. Jody Adams
#2 took the point leading the next six laps until Barker came from the rear of
the field overcoming a midrace spin to take the victory. Adams finished
second. Eddie Roane #75 finished third, Travis Guffey #5G finished fourth and
newcomer Chad Donahue #78 finished fifth.
Travis Chatham #21 from Taylorsville led every lap on his way to victory in
the Super Stock Four race. Trevor Chatham #00 finished a close second. Trent
Chatham #9 came from the rear of the field to finish third. Bobby Brown #33
finished fourth and Tim Moretz #T9 finished fifth.

Parker Wins Mega Tan Race At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [6-16-2007] Ron "The Bull" Parker #8 from Bellwood, NC won
the $2000.00 first prize in the special Mega Tan Late Model race Saturday
night at Antioch Speedway. Chris Cheek #99 from Wilkesboro, NC got the jump
from his outside front row starting position with Parker and Will Shuffler #46
from Morganton close behind. Cheek led until Parker made the pass coming off
turn four on the eighth circuit. Parker went on to easily take the checkered
flag. Cheek outbattled Shuffler to take second. Shuffler finished third. Buddy
Smith #08 from Cherryville, NC finished fourth. Bryan Nance #4 from
Wilkesboro, NC rounded out the top five.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton, won a very competitive Super Stock V-8
event. Wesley Chester got the jump at the start of the event with Brian
Carswell #JW2 and Bristol in hot pursuit. Bristol battled hard with Chester
until making the pass when they encountered lap traffic on the back stretch
causing Chester to back out of the accelerator. Carswell later dropped from
competition with mechanical problems. Bristol was able to stretch the lead to
the checkered flag. Chester second. Last week's winner Tim Sigmon #3S finished
third. Daniel Moss #03 finished fourth and Larry Brown #11 finished fifth.
Joey Barker #5 from Valdese made it two in a row by leading every lap on
his way to victory in the Renegade V-8 class. John McElrath #63 finished
second, Josh Scronce #13 third, Larry Brown #18 finished fourth and Donovan
Koteras #01 finished fifth.
Trent Chatham #9 from Hiddenite, NC won his second consecutive Super Stock
Four event. Trevor Chatham #00 took the lead on the first lap swapping the
lead with his brother Trent with Trent taking command on the seventh lap when
Trevor slid high coming off turn two. Robby Brown #33 was also able to get by
Trevor and he and Trevor battled for second until the two cars got hung
together in turn four bringing out a caution. Trent Chatham went on to easily
win the event. Steve Annas #7A finished second. Brown recovered to finish
third. Trevor Chatham came from the rear to finish fourth. Keith Hart #81
finished fifth.
Jeremy Potter #79 inherited the win after apparent winner was disqualified
at post race inspection. Daimon Patton #1 jumped out front at the drop of the
green but brought out a caution when he spun on his own in between turns one
and two three laps later. Tony Waters #6 inherited the lead and went on to
take the checkered flag. Potter crossed the line in second but was awarded the
win after Waters refused to tear down at post race inspection. Adam Pruett #7
finished second. David Hall #9 finished third. Mike Pruett #16 finished
fourth. Daniel Cobb #17 rounded out the top five.
Casey Woody #02 from Marion, NC led every lap in the caution free Young
Guns event. Jason Carver #J22 came from the rear of the field but without a
caution had to settle for second. JW Hicks #15 finished third, Cody Cook #2C
finished fourth and Travis Caviness #83 finished fifth.
Timothy Laws won the special Road Rage race. AJ Foy finished second. Howard
Harden finished third.
Nance Wins At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [6-09-2007] Bryan Nance #4 from Wilkesboro, NC led flag to
flag easily winning the Late Model race Saturday night at Antioch Speedway.
After the event Nance thanked his sponsors Porter’s Grocery, Faber
Enterprises, Greer’s Racing Engines and The Junction for their support in
2007. Will Shuffler #46 from Morganton NC held off a hard charging Wesley
Chester #7 from Morganton, NC to take second place. Chester worked his way
from the rear of the field after an early race spin to finish third. William
Singleton #00 also overcame a midrace spin to finish fourth. John Eller #35
from Boone, NC finished fifth.
Tim Sigmon #3S from Denver, NC won a very exciting Super Stock V-8 event.. Ray
Roland #38 took the lead as the green flag dropped with Travis Smith #4 and
Tim Bristol #71 in hot pursuit. The three battled hard for the first two laps
until coming off turn four three abreast sending Smith against the outside
retainer wall causing Roland’s right front tire to go down. Roland slid to a
stop going into turn one bringing out a caution. Bristol took the point on the
restart and he and Smith battled hard for the next six laps. Bristol spun
going into turn three when he had a right rear tire go flat. At the same time
Smith spun coming off turn four when the supports holding his racer’s rear-end
broke ending his bid for the win. Sigmon took the lead on the restart and led
to the white flag. Bristol worked his way from the rear catching Sigmon going
into turn one on the last lap causing both racers to spin. The track was
blocked giving Sigmon time to get his racer going back in the right direction
letting him go on to take the checkered flag. Travis Childers #3C made it back
to the line in second. Mike Brown #11 finished third, Bristol finished fourth
and Jeff Parsons #44 finished fifth.
Joey Barker #5B from Morganton, NC won a highly competitive Renegade V-8
event. Josh Scronce #13 took the lead on the first lap with Dustin McNeil #7,
Jody Adams #2, Travis Guffey #5G and Barker close behind. The group battled
hard for the first ten laps when Barker worked his way from fifth place to
take the lead with four laps remaining. Adams dropped out early with
mechanical problems. McNeil broke a right rear axle sending the wheel flying
into the infield. Barker went on to take the checkered flag. Guffey pressured
Barker to the checkered flag but had to settle for second. Scronce finish
third. Last week’s winner Larry Brown #18 battled with Scronce to the
checkered flag finished fourth. McNeil finished fifth.
Trent Chatham #9 from Taylorsville led flag to flag easily winning the Super
Stock Four event. Tim Moretz #T9 ran second early but was sidelined when his
engine mysteriously quit running. Robby Brown #33 finished second. Chris
Cleary #88 finished third. Ed Brittain #57 finished fourth and Keith Hart #81
rounded out the top five.
Kevin Green #11 from Lenoir, NC won the Pure Stock Four event. David Hall #9H
led the first three laps until he was sidelined when his right front strut
broke bringing out a caution. Green took the point on the restart and went on
to victory lane. Richard Vasser #15 had nothing for Green and had to settle
for second. Jason Potter #59 finished third, Mike Pruett #16 finished fourth
and Jeremy Potter #79 finished fifth.

race. Last week’s winner Casey Woody #02 came from the rear of the field to
finish second. JW Hicks #15 ran second most of the event but slid back to a

Nance Wins At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [6-2-2007] Bryan Nance #4 from Wilkesboro, NC only led two
laps on his way to victory in the Late Model race Saturday night at Antioch
Speedway. Joey Phillips #22 jumped out front at the drop of the green with
Nance close behind. Nance pressured Phillips the entire event and was able to
make the pass coming off turn two coming to the white flag. Phillips finished
a close second. Raymond Pennington #6 from Creston, NC finished third. Will
Shuffler #46 from Morganton, NC passed Chris Cheek #99 from Wilkesboro, NC
with two laps remaining after the two had fought for fourth place the entire
event. Cheek finished fifth.
Brian Carswell from Morganton, NC substituting for Travis Smith in the #4 car
won the special $700.00 to win the Super Stock V-8 event. Carswell took the
lead at the start of the event and he and Tim Bristol #71 battled constantly
for eleven laps until Bristol spun going into turn three. Carswell went on to
easily win the event. Wesley Chester #35 passed Jeff Parsons #44 midway of the
event and went on to finish second. Parsons finished third. Tim Sigmon #35
finished fourth. Bristol managed to make his way back to fifth.
Larry Brown #18 won his first race ever in the Renegade V-8 event. Josh
Scronce #13 took the lead at the drop of the green with Brad Laws #9, Joey
Barker #5, Eddie Roane #75 and Brown in hot pursuit. Scronce only led two laps
until he spun in turn two. Laws took the point on the restart but only led two
laps when he was sidelined when he went high going into turn one causing his
racer to slam into the concrete barrier. Roane took the point leading the next
four laps when he went into turn three to high causing his racer to end up on
top of the guardrail. Barker led the next four laps until he had a right rear
tire go down. Brown led the last three laps to take the victory. Scronce
pressured Brown to the checkered flag but had to settle for second. Tommy
Johnson #35 finished third, Tony Parsons #20 finished fourth and Barker
finished fifth.
Travis Chatham #21 led every lap winning his second consecutive Super Stock
Four race. Trent Chatham #9 pressured Travis the entire event to finish second
in the caution free event. Steve Annas #7A finished third, Robby Brown #33
finished fourth and Ed Brittain #57 rounded out the top five.
Richard Vasser #15 led flag to flag winning a highly competitive Pure Stock
Four race. David Hall #9 pressured Vasser late in the event but had to settle
for second. Daniel Cobb #71 finished third. Jeremy Potter substituting for
Jason Potter #59 finished fourth. Jeremy Mullins #94 finished fifth.
Casey Woody #02 made it two in a row in the Young Guns event. Brandon Marshall
#21 led the first two laps until he was overtaken by Cody Cook #2. Cook led
three laps until he was passed by Jacob Carver #J22. Cook was sidelined three
laps later when a radiator hose came off. Carver only led two laps when he
spun between turns three and four. Woods took the lead after coming from the
rear of the field and went on to take the checkered flag. JW Hicks #15
finished second, Adam Eller #00 finished third, and Devin Harris #48 finished
fourth. Carver recovered to cross the line in fifth.
Cheek Wins Mega Tan Race At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [5-26-2007] Chris Cheek #99 from Wilkesboro, NC got the jump
on fast qualifier Ron Parker #8 from Bellwood, NC on the start of the event
and went on to win the Mega Tan Late Model race Saturday night at Antioch
Speedway. Parker finished four car lengths back in second. Wesley Chester #7
from Morganton finished third. Bryan Nance #4 from Wilkesboro NC held off Will
Shuffler #46 from Morganton to finish fourth. Shuffler finished a close fifth.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton, NC won a very competitive Super Stock V-8
event. Wesley Chester #35 took the lead at the drop of the green with Jason
Ledford #14, Bristol and Travis Smith #4 in hot pursuit. Bristol managed to
take the lead midway of the event after Chester’s engine overheated. Smith’s
#4 was sidelined with overheating problems also. Bristol managed to hold off
Tim Sigmon #3 to take the checkered flag. Ledford overcame an early race spin
to finish third. Jeff Parsons #44 overcame a midrace pitstop to finish fourth
and Chester fifth.
Travis Guffey #5 from Marion, NC led flag to flag winning his first race of
the season in the Renegade V-8 division. Larry Brown #18 finished second. Jody
Adams substituting for Donovan Koteras in the #01 car battled with Brown most
of the event but had to settle for third. Brad Laws driving Jody Adams #2
finished fourth. Dwayne Huffman #H2 finished fifth.
Travis Chatham #21 from Taylorsville, NC won a hotly contested Super Stock
Four race. Robby Brown #33 jumped out front at the drop of the green with
Steve Annas #7A, Tim Moretz #T9, and Chatham in hot pursuit. The four battled
hard the first half of the event with Moretz taking the lead when Brown slid
high coming off turn two. Moretz only led one lap when his engine developed a
miss allowing Chatham to make the pass going into turn three. Chatham went on
to take the checkered flag. Moretz second. Annas finished third. Brown
finished fourth. Chris Cleary #88 rounded out the top five.
Kevin Green #11 from Lenoir, NC took the lead on the second lap and went on to
easily win the Pure Stock Four event. Ricky Waters #99 led the first lap and
drove on to finish second. David Hall #9 finished third. Travis Smith #1
finished fourth and Tony Waters #6 finished fifth.
Casey Woody #02 from Marion, NC took the lead on the third lap and went on to
victory lane in the Young Guns event. Cody Cook #C2 led the first two laps and
held on to finish second. JW Hicks #15 finished third. Adam Eller #00 brought

Super Stock V-8 event. Tim Sigmon #3 overcame a late spin to finish second.

to win the Renegade V-8 race. Ricky Smith #4 looked much improved with a
second place finish. Larry Brown #18 finished third. Tony Parsons #20 overcame
a midrace pit stop to finish fourth. Travis Guffey #5 finished fifth.
Michael Sheets #00 from Wilkesboro inherited the win in the Super Stock Four
event when the apparent winner was disqualified at post race inspection. Robby
Brown #33 led flag to flag easily taking the checkered flag but was
disqualified when he was discovered running beadlock wheels on the right side
of his racer awarding Sheets the win. Steve Annas #7A finished second. Keith
Hart #81 finished third. Chris Cleary #88 came from deep in the pack to finish
fourth. Ed Brittain #57 finished fifth.
Jeremy Potter #79 took the lead on the second lap and went on to victory for
the first time this season in the Pure Stock Four event. Last week’s winner
Adam Pruett #7 finished second. Tony Waters #6 finished third. Mike Pruett #16
finished fourth. Daniel Cobb #71 rounded out the top five.
Devin Harris #48 from N. Wilkesboro led from start to finish winning his first
race of the season in the Young Guns event. Casey Woody #02 finished second.
Last week’s winner Jacob Carver #J22 finished third. JW Hicks #15 finished
fourth. Richard Hurt #25 finished fifth.
Cheek Takes Late Model Race At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [5-12-2007] Chris Cheek #99 from Wilkesboro, NC led flag to
flag winning the Late Model race Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. Jimmy
Milsaps #20 from Boone, NC pressured Cheek thru out the event but had to
settle for second. Bryan Nance #4 from Wilkesboro NC put constant pressure on
Milsaps but could only muster a third place finish. Will Shuffler #46 from
Morganton NC finished a close fourth. Wesley Chester #7 from Morganton, NC
rounded out the top five.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton, NC dedicated his win in memory of Doug Patton
in the Super Stock V-8 event. Brian Carswell #JW2 pressured Bristol every lap
to finish a very close second. Ray Roland #38 finished third. Wesley Chester
#35 finished fourth. Freddie Frady #01 finished fifth.
Brad Laws #9 won his first race ever in the Renegade V-8 event. Josh Scronce
#13 pressured Laws from midrace to finish a photo second. Larry Brown #18 ran
second the first seven laps but faded to a third place finish. Chad Donahue
#78 finished fourth. Ricky Smith #4 rounded out the top five.
Tim Moretz #T9 from Morganton, NC also dedicated his win in memory of Doug

drop of the green but pitted on the seventh lap with overheating problems.
Moretz took over the point and went on to take the checkered flag. Trent
Chatham #9 came from the rear of the field but ran out of time and had to
settle for second. Steve Annas #7 finished third. Chris Cleary #88 finished
fourth and Keith Hart #81 finished fifth.
Adam Pruett #7 from Asheville, NC won a very competitive Pure Stock Four
event. Randy Powell #88 jumped out front at the drop of the green but was
sidelined midway of the event with a broken throttle cable. Tony Waters #6
took over the lead but slid high coming off turn four allowing Pruett to take
the lead. Pruett went on to take the checkered flag. Richard Vasser #15 came
from the rear of the field to finish a strong second. Steve Newsome #17S
finished third, Jeremy Potter #79 finished fourth and Daimon Patton #11
finished fifth.
Jacob Carver #J22 from Fletcher, NC won his first race of the year in the
Young Guns event. Shawn Simmons #NC4 finished second. Casey Woody #02 finished
third, Devin Harris #48 finished fourth and JW Hicks #15 finished fifth.
Nance Wins At Antioch

Morganton, N.C. [4-28-2007] Bryan Nance #4 from Wilkesboro, NC led flag to
flag winning the Late Model race Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. John
Eller #35 from Boone, NC ran a strong second. Neil Pitts #21 from Morganton NC
looked impressive finishing third. Chris Cheek #99 from Wilkesboro, NC
finished fourth. Newcomer Joel Gray #25 from Hamptonville, NC finished fifth.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton, NC won a very competitive Super Stock V-8
event. Wesley Chester #35 took the point as the green flag waved with Travis
Smith #4, Ray Roland #38, Travis Childers #3 and Bristol in hot pursuit.
Chester only led one lap when he spun coming off turn four bringing out a
caution. Smith took the lead on the restart leading the next four laps.
Bristol quickly worked his way to second and managed to take the lead on the
sixth lap after he and Smith had battled for three laps. Bristol went on to
take the checkered flag. Smith second. Chester worked his way back thru the
field to finish third. Freddie Frady #01 finished fourth. Jason Ledford #14
rounded out the top five.

event. Brian Carswell #77 jumped out front at the drop of the green but blew
an engine before he could make one lap. Scronce led the remaining laps to
easily win. Dwayne Huffman #H2 finished second. Rick Smith #4 finished third.
Donovan Koteras #01 finished fourth. Brad Laws #9 ran second early but faded
to a fifth place finish.
Trent Chatham #9 from Hiddenite, NC led every lap to win his second
consecutive Super Stock Four event. Tim Moretz #T9 finished second. Jeff
Mundwiler #M1 outbattled Jimmy Milsaps #20 to finish third. Milsaps finished
fourth. Michael Sheets #00 finished fifth.
Richard Vasser #15 from Morganton, NC led from start to finish winning the
Pure Stock Four race. David Hall #96 pressured Vasser early but could only
muster a second place finish. Jason Potter #59 finished third. Allen Bryant #7
finished fourth and Jeremy Potter #79 finished fifth.
Cody Cook #2 from Plumtree, NC won a very competitive Young Guns event.
Brandon Marshall #21 took the lead on the fourth lap but ended up finishing
second. Devon Harris #48 finished third. Jacob Carver #J22 finished fourth. JW

Ron “The Bull” Parker Wins At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [4-21-2007] Ron “The Bull” Parker from Bellwood driving his
crate motor powered #8 won the special Mega Tan Late Model race Saturday night
at Antioch Speedway. Parker jumped out front at the drop of the green with
Jimmy Milsaps crate motor #20 from Boone, Bryan Nance #4N from Wilkesboro and
Wally Fowler #4F in hot pursuit. Nance managed to pass Milsaps on lap seven.
Milsaps ran third until dropping out with mechanical problems with three laps
remaining. Nance driving his built motor Chevy put token pressure on Parker
early but had to settle for second. Fowler faded back to midpack and blew an
engine with four laps remaining. Will Shuffler #46 from Morganton brought his
crate motor Chevy home in third. Wesley Chester built motor #7 from Morganton
worked his way from midpack to finish fourth. Raymond Pennington built motor
#6 from Creston finished fifth. The rest of the top ten were: Vick Chandler
#88, Chris Cheeks #99, Chris Chandler #8, Neil Pitts #21 and Frank Hodges #17.

overcame an early race spin to finish fifth.
Daimon Patton #NC4 from Morganton led from start to finish winning the Pure
Stock Four race. Jason Potter #59 finished a close second. Jeremy Potter #79
finished third, Tony Waters #6 finished fourth and David Hall #96 rounded out
the top five.
Shawn Simmons #NC4 drove the same car that Daimon Patton drove to win the
Young Guns event. Cody Cook #2 came from the rear of the field to finish
second. J W Hicks #15 finished third. Adam Eller #00 finished fourth and Jason
McKinney #11 finished fifth.
Dab Saulman #2 won the Special Road Rage race.
Pennington Takes Win At Antioch

Morganton, N.C. [3-31-2007] Raymond Pennington #6 from Creston, NC took
his built motor Chevy to victory lane after leading every lap in the Late
Model race Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. Bryan Nance #4 from
Wilkeboro, NC put token pressure on Pennington early but had to settle for
second. Will Shuffler #46 from Morganton, NC closed at the end but had to
settle for third. Wesley Chester #7 from Morganton, NC finished fourth and
John Eller #35 from Boone, NC finished fifth.
Travis Smith #4 from Morganton, NC led every lap taking home the $1000.00
first prize in the Super Stock V-8 special event. Brian Carwell #JW2
pressured Smith every lap until he dropped out with engine problems
halfway of the event. Tim Bristol #5 took up the chase but spun two laps
later when the right rear tire went down on his racer. Smith easily went
on to take the checkered flag. Mike Mundwiler #M1 came from deep in the
field to finish second. Wesley Chester #35 finished third. Johnny Broome
#17 overcame an early race mishap to finish fourth. Bristol recovered to a
fifth place finish.
Duke Bare #52 from Abington, VA led flag to flag easily winning the
Renegade V-8 event. Travis Guffey #5 crossed the line in second but was
disqualified at post race inspection for running illegal heads. Brad Laws
#9 finished second. Dan Walker #27 finished third. Josh Scronce #13
overcame an early race mishap to finish fourth. Dwayne Huffman #H2
finished fifth.
Trevor Chatham #00 from Hiddenite, NC won the most competitive race of the
evening in the Super Stock Four event. Tim Bristol #71 pressured Chatham
every lap crossing the finish line at Chatham’s door to finish second.
Chris Cleary #88 finished a very close third. Last week’s winner Jeff
Mundwiler #M1 finished fourth and Keith Hart #81 finished fifth.
Tim Moretz #15 from Morganton, NC only led one lap to take the victory in
the Pure Stock Four race. Daimon Patton #NC4 took the lead on the first
lap and fought off challenges from Jason Potter #59 and Jeremy Potter #79
but managed to hold onto the lead for fourteen laps. Moretz worked his way
from the rear of the field to second position with four laps remaining.
Moretz got a run coming off turn four and he and Patton tangled sending
Patton spinning in front of the flag stand on the white flag lap. Moretz
came back around to take the checkered flag. Jason Potter finished second.
Adam Pruett #7 finished third. Jeremy Potter finished fourth. Mike Pruett
#16 rounded out the top five.
Cody Cook #2 from Plumtree, NC won a very exciting Young Guns event. Jacob
Carver #J22 led the first two laps until Cook made the pass for the lead.
Cook held off last week’s winner Shawn Simmons #NC4 to take the checkered
flag. Simmons pressured Cook the last two laps but could only muster a
second place finish. Carver held on to finish third. Chris Gardner #68
finished fourth. Richard Hurt #25 finished fifth.
Nance Wins At Antioch

built motor powered Late Model to victory lane Saturday night at Antioch
Speedway. Chris Cheek #99 from Wilkesboro, NC ran second for the first seven
laps until he tangled with Jimmy Milsaps #20 sending Cheek hard into the
outside retainer wall right pass the flag stand ending his bid for a good
finish. Raymond Pennington #6 from Creston NC finished a distant second.
Milsaps from Boone, NC finished third. Will Shuffler #46 from Morganton, NC
finished fourth. Brian Carswell #4C from Morganton, NC overcame a midrace
pit stop to finish fifth.
Tim Bristol #5 from Morganton, NC won a very exciting Super Stock V-8 event.
Bristol jumped out front at the drop of the green with Freddie Frady #01 and
Johnny Tony #88 in hot pursuit. Bristol led until he and Frady tangled
coming off turn two on a restart. Bristol went to the rear. It only took
Bristol a lap and a half to restake the lead and the victory. Jeff Parsons
#44 finished second. Dab Saulman #JW2 finished third. Grant Hutchins #23
finished fourth. Frady rounded out the top five.
John McElrath #63 from Asheville, NC led flag to flag easily winning the
Renegade V-8 event. Travis Guffey #5 finished second. Ricky Smith #4
finished third, Dwayne Huffman #2 finished fourth and David Mitchem #7
finished fifth.
Jeff Mundwiler #M1 from Statesville, NC won a very competitive Super Stock
Four race. Keith Hart #81 challenged Mundwiler most of the event but had to
settle for second. Ed Brittain #57 finished a strong third. Chris Cleary #88
overcame an early race pit stop to finish fourth. Harvey Anderson #5
finished fifth.
Richard Vasser #15 from Morganton, NC won a highly competitive Pure Stock
Four event. Tim Robinson #09 led the first six circuits until Vasser was
able to make the pass and go on to take the checkered flag. Daimon Patton
#NC4 battled with Vasser and Robinson early and eventually crossed the line
in second place. Jeremy Potter #79 passed Robinson with five laps remaining
to finish third. Robinson finished fourth and Randy Hildebran #20 finished
fifth.
Shawn Simmons #NC4 looked impressive winning the Young Guns race. Cody Cook
#2 battled with Simmons the entire event but had to settle for second.
Richard Hurt #25 finished third. Adam Eller #00 brought his truck across the
line in fourth place. Dustin Hicks #03 rounded out the top five.
Chandler Wins At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [3-10-2007] Vick Chandler #88 from Weaverville, N.C. drove
his crate motor powered Chevy to victory lane in the Late Model division
Saturday at Antioch Speedway. Brian Carswell #4C from Morganton, N.C. took the
lead on the first lap in his Ford powered racer. Carswell was able to hold off
Chandler until a little past halfway when his motor quit running. Chandler
took the lead and went on to take the checkered flag. Will Shuffler #46 from
Morganton, N.C. close at the end but had to settle for second. Bryan Nance #4N
from Wilkesboro, N.C. finished third. Chris Cheek #99 from Wilkesboro, N.C.
finished fourth. John Eller #35 from Boone, N.C. rounded out the top five.
Travis Smith #4 from Morganton, N.C. won a very competitive Super Stock V-8
event. Mike Bivins #77 from Golden Valley, N. C. took the lead at the drop of
the green with Rodney Lail #5 from Valdese, N.C. and Smith close behind. Lail
and Blivins battled for the lead until Blivins pitted with overheating
problems. Lail spun on the very next lap allowing Smith to take the lead.
Smith went on to take the checkered flag. Jeff Parsons #44 from Harmony, N.C.
finished second. Lail recovered to third. Blivins finished fourth. Mike Brown
#11 from Drexel, N.C. finished fifth.
Duke Bare #52 from Abbington, VA led flag to flag easily winning the Renegade
V-8 event. Brian Hayes #38 finished second. John Simmons #07 finished third.
Larry Brown #18 finished fourth.
Tim Bristol #71 from Morganton, N.C. led flag to flag easily winning the Super
Stock Four race. Jeff Mundwiler #M1 passed Keith Hart #8 with two laps to go
to finish second. Hart finished third. David Hall #9 finished fourth. Michael
Sheets #00 finished fifth.
Richard Vasser #15R from Morganton, N.C. won a very exciting Pure Stock Four
event. Daimon Patton #NC4 outbattled Vasser for the first eleven laps until he
had a right front tire blow out as he was entering turn one sending his racer
hard in to the outside wall. Patton was treated and released by the track
Rescue Squad. Vasser took the point and went on to win the event. Adam Pruett
#7 finished a strong second. Brad Williams #15B crossed the line in third but
was disqualified when his racer weighed light at the scales. Tim Robinson #09
finished third. Andy Jolliffe #25 finished fourth. Randy Hildebran #20
finished fifth.
Cody McMahan #34 from Chilhowie, VA led from start to finish winning the Young
Guns event. Taylor Hayes #16 finished second. Cody Cook #2 finished third.
Shawn Simmons #NC4 came from midpack to finish fourth. Wayne Curtis #15
rounded out the top five.
