      Morganton [8-29-2009] Jimmy Milsaps, No. 20, from Boone won a very competitive Late Model race Saturday
night at Antioch Speedway. Steve Hendron, No. 29, stayed in contact with Milsaps but could only muster a second
place finish. John Eller, No. 35, finished a close third. Pat Lindsey, No. 21P, finished fourth. Wesley Chester, No. H1,
rounded out the top five.

      Freddie Frady, No. W2, from Marion won a very competitive Renegade V8 event. Brad Laws, No. 9, jumped out
front at the drop of the green with Dennis Byrd, No. 07, close behind. Frady worked his way from the rear of the field
and was running second when Laws spun on his own in turn two. Frady inherited the lead and went on to take the
checkered flag. Byrd crossed the line in second but was disqualified when his racer was 30 pounds light at the scales.
Rodney Lail, No. 12, was also disqualified when he refused post race inspection. Laws was awarded second. Bobby
Jolly Jr. No. 33, finished third. Mike Brown, No. 18, finished fourth. John McElrath, No. 50, finished fifth.

      Richard Vasser, No. 8, from Morganton won a hotly contested Pure Stock Four race. Scott Cowart, No. 14, led
the first two laps until he spun on his own coming out of turn four collecting Chris Cleary, No. 88, in the process.
Cleary was unable to continue. Vasser led the remaining laps to take the victory. Jeremy Potter, No. 79, overcame an
early race spin to finish second. Cowart recovered to finish third. Kevin Green, No. 11, came from the rear of the field
and was pressuring Vasser when his coil wire came off bringing out a caution but recovered to finish fourth. Adam
Vandiver, No. 95, overcame a midrace spin to finish fifth.

      Jody Adams, No. 2, from Lenoir won a very exciting U Car event. Jessica Mendenhal, No. 4, was battling for the
lead and slowed with three laps remaining and got hit from the rear. Mendenhal complained of neck pain and was
transported to the local hospital. Jennifer Mendenhal, No. 14, finished second. Sue Ann Mendenhal, No. 41, finished
third. Newcomer Joey Stallings, No. 9, was battling for the lead trying to make the pass on the outside coming off turn
two on the last lap and ended up to finish fourth. Jessica Mendenhal was awarded fifth place.

      Alex Depietro, No. 95, from Dallas won a very competitive Young Guns event. Kyle Smith, No. 4, led the first two
laps until he spun bringing out a caution. J W Hicks, No. 7, came from the rear of the field and was trying to take the
lead from Dustin Hicks, No. 9. The two tangled on the back stretch sending Hicks over the guardrail flipping his racer
violently. Hicks came back on the track and was t-boned by Casey Woody, No. 02. The two drivers jumped out of their
racers and had words. There were no injuries. Depietro inherited the lead and went on to take the checkered flag.
Eve Rumph, No. 95R, finished second. Smith finished third. Kyle Barus driving the No. BB1, racer finished fourth.
Dillion Woody, No. 7, finished fifth.

      Paul Sparrow, No. 00, from Gastonia withstood several attempts to be spun out by the 19 other race car drivers
and was able to outlast them all to win the $500.00 winner take all Road Rage race.
