Antioch Speedway
Flattrack Motorcycle rules and classes. 05-02-14

General rules:

Conduct- Any one guilty of unsportsman like conduct such as fighting, cussing at other riders or
track officials, rough riding, intentionally wrecking another rider, or riding in a manner which is
dangerous to other riders, will be escorted from the track immediately.

Equipment - Riders choose their own safety equipment at their own discretion.  Any DOT, ECE or
SNELL approved full face road or motocross helmet is acceptable.  Rider must wear boots that
cover the ankles.  Rider must have eye protection either in the form of a full face street helmet or
off-road goggles.  Long sleeve shirts and pants are required.  Gloves, knee, elbow and chest
protection is strongly recommended. Please be advised, this is a 1/2 mile track and the use of a
steel shoe, leather pants and leather jackets are strongly recommended. Front brakes and
knobbie tires are not permitted unless specified for a specific class.  Motorcycles should be free
of any sharp or pointed items which may cause serious injury to another rider in the event of a
crash.  

Race Length and format-  Open AM and Vintage classes will run 6 lap heats and 10 lap mains.  Pro
and Pro-Am classes will run 8 lap heats and 14 lap mains.  All classes will have 2 practice sessions
of 5 laps each.  If more than 18 bikes show up for any class, B mains will be ran to determine the
main event starting lineup for the main event.  Bikes will start 6 wide, three rows deep.  B mains
will be 8 laps in length in all classes.  The starting lines for the second row will be 20 feet behind
the first line and the third row will be 20 feet behind the second line.  Any restarts will be in a
staggered formation with the race leader picking either the inside or outside row.  Riders who
jump the start will start on the first row available behind all unpenalized riders.  

Protests- any protests must be made before the start of the heat races.  Riders who fail a protest
will be placed in the appropriate class.

Heat Race starting Procedure-  Riders will be given a random number for starting positions.  The
rider with the lowest number will start on the inside of the first row, next lowest will start to the
right of him and so on.  

Safety Team-  The track will provide an Ambulance at the event.

Entry Fees – Pro $50 entry fee - $500 to win see below,
Pro-AM $30 entry fee $300 to win - see below.
Open Am and Vintage $20 entry fee trophies top 3.

Make your plans to race here on Friday Night, camp with us Friday night and then head on over to
Wooleaf Speedway to race on Saturday night.


Classes



Vintage Open- this class is open to any motorcycle 250ccs or larger, 2 or 4 stroke,  produced up to
and including 1984.   Any frame  is allowed but must have two rear shocks.  Must run flattrack tires
in this class.   No engine cylinder or size restrictions.  Trophies or plaques will be awarded to the
top 3 finishers.


Open Amateur – This class is open to any 2 stroke engine 125cc or larger or any 4 stroke engine
250cc or larger and any year machine. Engine and frame modifications are allowed.  Must run
flattrack tires in this class.    This class will be open to amateur riders.  Trophies or plaques will be
awarded to the top 3 finishers.

Pro-AM – This class is open to any year machine. This class is open to amateur and professional
riders minimum age 14 years old.   Engine and frame modifications are allowed.  Must run flattrack
tires in this class.  Engine may be two or four stroke.  This class is open to engines with one
cylinder and at least 250cc.  This class will be open to current professional and amateur riders.   
Payout with a minimum of 10 entries will be as follows:  $300 to win, 2nd - $150, 3rd- $100, 4th - $75
If less than 10 entires, the purse will be adjusted accordingly but at the same ratio - for example
8 entries $240 to win, 2nd - $120, 3rd -$80, 4th - $60.


Pro Class - This class is open to any year machine. Riders must be 14 years old or older.  This
class is open to professional riders only minimum age 1
4.   Engine and frame modifications are
allowed.  Specialized flat track frames are also allowed in this class.     Engine may be two or four
stroke and must be a single cylinder 250 cc or larger.  Payout with a minimum of 10 entries will be
as follows:  $500 to win, 2nd - $250, 3rd- $150, 4th - $100.
If less than 10 entires, the purse will be adjusted accordingly but at the same ratio - for example
8 entries = $400 to win, 2nd - $200, 3rd -$120, 4th - $80.
